Wang Kena
Founder
Ms. Wang Kena graduated from the Royal College of Music in London and the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing.
Throughout her career, Ms. Wang has excelled in numerous international and local competitions, consistently securing top honors. In 2012, she won the Gold Medal in the Guzheng Open Category at the Singapore National Chinese Music Competition, organized by the Singapore Arts Council. This outstanding achievement was recognized and personally awarded by Mr. Lee Hsien Loong, Senior Minister of Singapore. In 2013, Ms. Wang performed as the First-prize winner in the "Nan Yi Zhi Xing" concert, organized by the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in Singapore. That same year, she also won the first prize in the Chinese Music Concerto Competition hold by Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts.
In 2017, Ms. Wang was invited by Singapore Cultural Medallion recipient Mr. Chua Soo Bin to perform a guzheng solo at the opening ceremony of "Light Within Ink: Chua Soo Bin's Portraits of Wu Guanzhong" at the Singapore Old Parliament House. In 2019, she was invited again to perform guzheng at the opening of Mr. Chua’s exhibition "Truths & Legends" at the National Gallery Singapore.
As an outstanding guzheng educator, she has also received numerous teaching honors, including the Distinguished Teacher's Award.
Han Xingzhi
Music Director
Mr. Han Xingzhi graduated from the Royal College of Music in the UK, where he studied under renowned violinist Rashkovsky Itzhak.
Mr. Han is active on both local and international music stages, including the 2024 "Symphonic Harmony" Berlin-Singapore Exchange Concert at the Berlin Philharmonie, the 2023 "Harmony Across the Seas" Korea-Singapore Cultural Exchange Concert, and the 2019 Japan-Singapore Cultural Exchange Concert.
As an outstanding violin educator and orchestral conductor, his students have achieved numerous accolades in both Singaporean and international music competitions. He has also received multiple teaching honors, including the Distinguished Teacher's Award and the Excellent Teacher Award.
Han Xingzhi
